Help thread: another 905 tuning
I am trying to build a sane checklist for another 905 tuning before I start buying parts I may not need. I am interested in performance, but I want it legal, reliable, and reversible. I do not want a bike that is fast once and expensive forever.

5 repliesFor another 905 tuning, make the stock setup healthy before tuning anything. Compression, valve clearance, air filter, plug color, chain/CVT condition and tire pressure all matter before chasing power.
Also check whether anything was changed recently. The last hands near the bike are often the first suspect, even when those hands are our own. That is how I would approach another 905 tuning before spending money.
For another 905 tuning, is there a measurement that proves the part is bad, or is it mostly elimination?

I would treat another 905 tuning as a diagnosis, not as a shopping list. The first job is to turn a vague complaint into a repeatable test.
The mistake I see most often with another 905 tuning is jumping to the part that sounds most famous. A good mechanic proves the system first: supply, command, output and mechanical condition.
For students, this is exactly why I built the free Motorcycle Mechanics Course on this platform. It teaches the method behind fuel, spark, compression, charging, diagnostics and safe workshop habits, so problems like another 905 tuning become a sequence instead of a guess.
Post the machine model, year, mileage and one clear symptom, and I would choose the next test from there.
Thanks everyone. I wrote the checks down and I will come back with results, not just vibes and panic. This should make the another 905 tuning thread useful for the next person too.
