Help thread: Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse

I have been reading about Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse and I am not sure which step should come first in a real workshop diagnosis. I can inspect wiring and physical fitment, but I want to avoid missing the simple stuff: bad earths, melted connectors, loose clamps, leaks, or cheap accessories causing noise.

For Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse, I would do a visual inspection first. Heat marks, loose grounds, cheap adapters, bad crimps and tired clamps explain a shocking number of problems.

Also check whether anything was changed recently. The last hands near the bike are often the first suspect, even when those hands are our own. That is how I would approach Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse before spending money.

For Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse, is there a measurement that proves the part is bad, or is it mostly elimination?

Thomas Spagnoli: workshop approach for Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse

With Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse, the useful question is not 'what part is famous for this?' but 'which system stopped doing its job, and under what condition?'

  1. Inspect the physical installation first: clamps, brackets, heat shields, routing, grounds, fuses, and connector strain.
  2. Measure voltage drop under load on electrical faults; for exhaust faults, listen for leaks at the head and joints.
  3. Do not ignore heat. Melted plastic, brown terminals, blue pipe sections, and cooked insulation are evidence.
  4. After any repair, test hot and cold. Many electrical/exhaust issues behave differently once everything expands.

The mistake I see most often with Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse is jumping to the part that sounds most famous. A good mechanic proves the system first: supply, command, output and mechanical condition.

If you are new to this, join the free Motorcycle Mechanics Course on the platform. I made it to explain the workshop logic behind cases like Moto Guzzi V7 dash lights normal but no injector pulse, not just to list random parts.

Bring one result at a time and the forum can narrow it down properly. That is how a thread becomes a real workshop note.

Small update from my side: I found one suspect connector and I am cleaning it before touching anything more expensive. I will post the exact result, even if the answer ends up being embarrassingly simple.
