For first name, I would write down the current condition first. Model, year, mileage, recent work, and exact symptom will save ten posts of guessing.

If you can, post a photo of the part, connector, plug color, or dash message. A decent photo can save half a page of wrong assumptions. That is how I would approach first name before spending money.
